Welcome to Toronto - on a large sign in front of Toronto's modern City Hall:
The Waterfront of Toronto - on Lake Ontario, one of the Great Lakes:
And, a couple of pics from downtown below: famous Brookfield Place Shopping Center with the historic bank building and a new addition of Santiago Calatrava (left) and Dundas Square - the city center - on the right. Eaton Center, another huge shopping complex, below, and famous CN Tower:
A couple of neighborhoods we explored: Chinatown - very authentic and not touristic at all:
Old Town with the famous Flatiron Building and a funny dog fountain - closeby St. Lawrence Market:
Bloor Street with the Royal Ontario Museum - on the pic the expansion of Daniel Libeskind is shown - and the Bata Shoe Museum (interesting in re. to the history of shoes). Even more known is Bloor Street for shopping and its fancy designer stores, like Vuitton on the pic.
The Village - the LGBTQ+ neighborhood - and Greektown, both on the way to be "gentrified"
A little further out of town, but easily to be reached by street car is the Contemporary Art Museum (with an interesting exhibition about the influence of social media on mankind)
On to Parkdale - a apparently up & coming neighborhood with nice little shops and coffee shops - which merges into West Queen West, another hip neighborhood in town. The mural shows the Toronto Raptors who becam NBA champs 2019.
