2,365 mi or 3,784 km that's the distance we drove in 10 days (in Elko our car was resting). Not bad, considering, that we drive 6,000 km a year at home! Ogden was a little disappointing in regard to Superbowl activities: The brew pub we went to on Historic 25th Street was anything but packed and vivid, so we just had a burger and wings and a beer. They told us right at the entrance, that we won't get a beer without eating something (because they are considered a "restaurant" and don't have a special bar license). Didn't mind, but there are for sure some strange rules in Utah, considering that adults should be self-responsible for their habits and "addictions" (which the Mormons want to eliminate). Well, at least at Rooster's Brewing the 4 % draught beer was pretty good and after our meal we watched the rest of the game in our hotel.
Smooth 40 mi drive - after a quick stop at the local bakery for breakfast - to SLC International Airport, fast check-in, all fine,,, till we got to know that our plane to Chicago is delayed because of heavy snowfall there (in SLC it is warm and dry). Not sure yet, whether our plane to MUC will be delayed, too, so that we can still catch it. Will see what happens. Nothing to do about anyway. Just started to label and sort through pics from the Cowboy Poetry Gathering and will try to use the time here at Gate B 7 reasonably and set up a post about that.
