Grand Finale

Saturday - another fantastic and full day at the NCPG in Elko with music, poems and interesting meetings and conversation. We attended a couple more poetry panels, and, were listening to more great music all day long. Lines to get into shows were getting longer and longer in the course of the day, people were flocking in and it was great to see how big the enthusiasm was again. Everybody seemed to be starving for cowboy culture and art after the two-year COVID-break.

Before we went to the evening show in the G Three Bar Theater as the grand finale of the festival, we checked out downtown Elko and noticed a couple of new murals and took a pic of the Thunderbird Motel neon sign. Unfortunately, didn’t have blue skies anymore - the weather has changed to cloudy and warmer, around 32 deg F (0 C).

The evening show took place with music bands like „Ismay“, a young Indie-Folk/Americana music band, photo below, and, again, with great Lara Manzanares & band. Highlight at the end was old Rumblin’ Jack Elliott with Andy Hedges.
